Privacy policy

Effective: October 18, 2026

What we collect

• Payments: the $19 Ask a Welder fee is processed by Stripe. Card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers; we receive your name, email, billing details Stripe collects, and payment status.
• Ask a Welder requests: after you pay, whatever you email us: the item, description, ZIP code, your name and contact info, and photos.
• Analytics: we may use basic, aggregated site analytics (pages visited, device type). We don't use it to identify you.

How we use it

• To answer your question and email you the review.
• If you check the box and you're in DE/Eastern MD, RickTheWelder may contact you about a quote.
• With your permission only, to use a photo (identifying details removed) as an example on the site.

What we don't do

We don't sell your email or photos. If we ever pass a lead to another welder outside our area, we'll ask you first.

Retention & deletion

We keep requests only as long as needed to answer you and handle any repair job you ask about. To have your information deleted, email rick@rickthewelder.com.
